HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

...not. J/K! I hope you guys are having a spectacular night! Play it safe. Don't do anything i wouldn't do :P bwahahahahaaaa...haha...haaa...ha. *feels bitter* I can't believe i'm stuck in my apartment at 11:25 pm, studying for my physics quiz... WHEN I SHOULD BE OUT TRICK OR TREATING AND DOING FUNSTUFF LIKE NORMAL TEENAGERS. I mean, ahem, YOUNG ADULTS. =)

i have one question, and only one question in mind as of right now:
Why Oh WHY must you hate me so, mr. physics? Why must you torture me with your nonsense and babbles about laws of crap-n-doodle?

But yes. This is my study break. how sad, huh? Let me reminisce on the past years' halloween then, so that I could pretend that i'm having a wonderful halloween.. whoohoooo..

lookie, senior year =)

we were dominoes. :D

tipping over.

hehehe.

Last Year's Halloweeeeen... =)

OKAY. I'm back in San Diego.
The fire has seem to have disappeared as sleekly as it has appeared. mMm...coming home may or may not be a bad thing, depending on my approach to how I dealt with things. But I must say...Ididn't realize how much I was missing my family! The week in which us san diego kids had off made quite a few UC students from all around envious. pfffffft. but it's a shame i didn't get to enjoy it as much as I was hoping to. Due to school and ecetera. But I'll get back to you on that. I'm slooowly falling asleep as I'm typing so i think i'll just end it....

right here.

okay, picture update from the week prior to this week:

So, it was Ryan's birthday. our whole floormates from last year surprised him with basketball tickets to...the Suns vs. Clippers and Lakers vs. Bobcats at the Staples Center in LA. It was quite an epic driving from San Diego to LA.

LOL jen's mouth.
soo..we had to entertain ourselves somehow! :)

Lakers vs. Bobcats!

The National Anthem.

all sweaty after the 3 hours drive. all 6 of us fit in Kelsey's jeep.
and we were the first one there!

some of the girls striking a pose. ;) I do enjoy jen grabbing my left boob.

After the second game ended at 10ish, guess who drove up to LA to pick me up? hehe =) Ben drove me back down to Long Beach and we attended Harrison's birthday party. I was reunited with vivian =) It was our first time not camera whoring that night, so sadly, i cannot post up 23049 pictures of us this time. bwhahahaha, just kidding.

we do have ONE picture of us together that ben took, though I look slightly red due to, uhm, just ONE taste of the Gold Schlagera;ldkfja;sdlkfj whatever you call it. or as Maecy would call it
"GoldSlick" from superbad.

theres the birthday boy!

me and ben!

Okay okay, lastly,
I have pictures of the fire. The night Ben drove me home from San Diego on..tuesday, away from the fire, we passed by a section on the freeway where the entire land next to us was up in flames. The scenery was so intense. It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to capture its intensity. =(

we see the fire up ahead on our way back.

eeeek.

Yeah, so that was pretty much it for this month.
I'm anxious to get this month over with. =/

If you be my star,
I'll be your sky.
you can hide underneath me and come out at night.
when I turn jet black and you show off your light .

But you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back if you find another galaxy...
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by.

if you be my boat,
I'll be your sea.
a depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity
ebbing and flowing and pushed by a breeze.

But you can set sail to the west if you want to
and past the horizon till I can't even see you...
far from here where the beaches are wide
just leave me your wake to remember you by.

i hate being sick. i hate this weather. i hate this month.
i look like crap. i feel like crap.
i'm doing quite crappy right now in all the departments of life.

i abhor the month of October.

It's way too clear to me
But really life is dandy
We are what we don't see
Missed everything daydreaming.
Traveling I only stop at exits
Wondering if I'll stay
Young and restless
Living this way I stress less
I want to pull away when the dream dies

Edit:

thank you ben for driving at 2 in the morning to come and make sure i'm a-okay. *giggle =)

This morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock at ~ approximately 9:00 am. My first thought was, Oh shoot, I'm late for Physics. As I was scrambling to climb down from the loft bed, my roommate Steph announced that all classes were cancelled today due to the hazardous, choking air that was lurking overhead. Of course, I reacted with a Whoohoo! and hid under the blanket again for a good hour or so. I finally woke up for a second time, thinking, Wow, no classes today. How awesome is that?! After I lazily finished waking up, I made myself some sunny-side-ups in the kitchen, thinking to myself, I hate this weather. But hey, at least this beats going to school, right? Shortly after, I settled myself onto the couch with my other two roomates; together, we watched the news. I got one word for ya: SHOCKING! I, unfortunately, had not realized how dangerous the situation was, nor did I think that I would ever come close enough to be affected by the brushfires that were wildly spreading throughout San Diego County. The news showed the firemen hosing down a beautiful neighborhood in Mira Mesa. Mira Mesa...that name sounded oddly familiar. I went into my room and mapquested the distance from UCSD to Mira Mesa. There was only a 7.2 mile-gap between us and the fire-site with an estimation of ~ 13 minutes. Not only that, but it was told that parts of Mira Mesa was evacuated due to the reckless spreads of the fires. And to think, that's where my friends and I go to eat PHO ever so often. Oh boy. What a scary thought. To top it off, I was told that students at the other side of the campus were advise to pack their belongings in case of an emergency evacuation. =/ Thus, this fire situation has become a lot more deadly. Watching the firemen risking their lives to save lives, however, made my heart cry in hopes that nothing worse can come out of this. Hopefully, deaths will not be a concern, and that everyone is safe not only in San Diego but back home and everywhere else. You know, in case the fires has decided to wreak havoc elsewhere. BLARGH!

heres a piece of news from the San Diego County

Greg Gross

UNION-TRIBUNE BREAKING NEWS TEAM

12:24 p.m. October 22, 2007

SAN DIEGO – The Witch fire, pushed by strong Santa Ana winds, roared west Monday morning across northern San Diego County, forcing an estimated quarter-million people to flee their homes.

It's one of seven fires raging across north and East County, according to Cal Fire officials. By 8 a.m., the Witch fire alone had grown to 10,000 acres.

“It's going to get worse. It's probably the worst fire this county has ever had, well worse than the Cedar fire,” said Sheriff Bill Kolender.

If those winds continue to propel the flames westward, fire officials warned, the Pacific Ocean may be the only thing that can stop it.

County Supervisor Ron Roberts put the number of evacuees at 250,000 people.

“I think there's a very good possibility it will reach the coast before it's finished,” said Bill Metcalf, chief of the North County Fire Protection District.

In all, the fires have killed one person and injured at least 20 others as of midday Monday, authorities said.

The county Medical Examiner's Office identified the dead man as Thomas Varshock, 52, of Potrero. His body was found shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Officials at UCSD Medical Center confirmed that it also was treating Varshock's 15-year-old son, who suffered burns on more than 50 percent of his body.

UCSD also is handling 12 other fire-related patients:

four firefighters – three in critical condition and one in fair condition

eight civilians – four in critical condition, four in fair condition and one in good condition

The patients suffered burns and/or respiratory problems due to smoke inhalation.

Among the few pieces of good news was that the military was joining the firefighting effort....

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20071022-1224-bn22fire4.html

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has directed the California National Guard to assign 1,500 guardsmen to the firefighting efforts. The 1,500 guardsmen, including 200 troops currently patrolling the California/Mexico border, will be deployed at the direction of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services to areas where they can have the greatest impact.

"It is a tragic time for California. I saw the tremendous devastation caused by these fires first hand today and I want to commend all of the brave firefighters that have been battling the blazes around our state. They have done an extraordinary job," said Governor Schwarzenegger. "We have the best-trained, the best-equipped and the most experienced firefighters in the world and I am committed to making all of the state's resources available to them to get these fires under control. That is why I have declared a state of emergency and directed the National Guard to support the firefighters in Southern California.

"I urge everyone to follow the directions and evacuation orders issued by the emergency personnel."

HI.
so i just finished getting my study on for Ochem midterm. hopefully, the average Joe did as badly as I did. Actually, more optimistically put, I hope that I have done better than the average Joe. So much for almost-all-nighters for three consecutive days. Absolute thanks to Danny and Jon for helping me learn 2.5 weeks' worth of lectures in three nights. =) I pretty much lived in their apartment for the last three days. Daaa-deedum. I need to focus more on school and stop the fun-ings this quarter. AIYAH.

I need to get my study on.
Like, right now. Priorities. Whatever happened to that idea? I've hit the lowest blow you could possibly catch for this quarter; it can't get any worse, right? It could only get better. No details!

Oh, and Procrastination should be one of the seven deadly sins. yeap.
There's too many things on my mind right now. It's quite a struggle trying to cram for your last-minute-realization Ochem midterm this Thursday when a hundred and one things are swimming through your head.

I wish I could just simply say, Life is good.

So.
I stayed up all night until 5ish in the morning to work on my physics lab (in which i should've not procrastinated on until the wee hours of time), but I finally did grasp the concept. Thanks to someoneeee...who stayed up all night with me, skyping and teaching me physics till 4 in the morning. Thank you =). I wish you were actually here with me teaching me physics in person though... ;) hehe.

mMm...I went to the gym today, and biked for one hour while watching Scrubs on tv at Rimac. *giggle.

HoHum, what else. Oh, if we rewind a bit to last week (specifically, last thursday), I can update on Ben's 2nd visit and clubbing night! =) thank you for coming. *giggle =) <3

EEEeeeeeEEeeeeee, so i lied.
I definitely have not been updating as much as i said i would. but all's well, because i have a good excuse! It's because...i've...been quite...okay, i really can't think of one at the moment. It's true, my laziness has gotten the better half of me. ='(

But, now that I'm here, i shall update on the past week. Yay for Ron's party on the first day of school! Oh, the things college students do to kill themselves already before the year has even started. Yes, yes, and I am one of them. Procrastination has been struggling to take over me since Day 1 in San Diego. Sighh. But, on the sunny-side up, I have attended every single class! *giggle. Sad to say however, my determination to avoid oversleeping or casually "forgetting" to attend class is not due to the whole I-am-an-oh-so-responsible-sophmore new side of me. It's more along the line of I-made-a-bet-with-kevin-so-now-we-both-have-to-attend-every-single-class...Whoever loses, owes the other a drink of the winner's preference. Boo, jergermeister. Yay for strawberry daquiri! I'm so gonna win, hands down, SUCKAA.

Putting that thought aside, let me rewind a bit to the
Ron's house-warming party.

maecy and I doing the typical mirror shot.

we're done, we're done! (before the asian glow..)

Hm, all i remember really is meeting quite a few people, forgetting their names and faces, re-introducing myself (and at the same time embarrassing myself because they happened to have remembered me the first time), and greeting everyone with a tomatoe face. Nice first impression, huh? Oh, for sure.

Oh, and my first beer pong. Whoohoo! My team won. I had no part in it, except to seduce the other team. ;) The boys on my team were perfectly fine with my lack of commitment to the team, however, because we won nontheless. Whoohoo!

Yes, you can see the creepy host himself in this picture.

Okay, let's forward a bit to the following day...

Clubbing @ TJ // theme: Naughty School Girl

the typical mirror shot again.

Haaaaa...we really do not dress like this. Ever.

the only three girls that went: Jen, Kels, and Me.

So, 3 girls and 3094803985 guys. Just kidding, but no really, it was quite a crowd. Let's just say,us girls were well protected. Special thanks go especially to Ryan and Farid, the ones whom we could trust to control unnecessary uprisings from drunken boys like George. HAH.

OH, and *barf* . 40 year-old creepy man introduced himself to me and jen as Juan. *looks at jen's boobs* "Verryyyyy Nice!" *gives her a thumbs up with a creepy smile stretched over his face* GROSS! TJ's cockfest has certainly spawned a massive group of horny, touchy, creepy, gropey guys. Luckily, Farid came to my rescue like, a bajillion time. *makes a face* I don't think I'll be in TJ for a long, long, long time...

In conclusion,

goodnight.

Oh, and here are the rest of the pictures from these two nights:
